B.A.(Hons) Economics

1. Is maths compulsory for economics?

You’ll be required to study MME (Mathematical Methods for Economics) as a compulsory subject in the first year. The concepts are very basic and can be easily understood in classes and with the book.
You can opt for maths as a Subsidiary Paper as well. It will require you to have a workable knowledge of the basics. If you choose Maths as a subsi., you’ll study calculus in the first year. Although having studied maths in class 12 is not a compulsory criteria for choosing maths as a subsidiary, you must have considerable knowledge of maths to study Calculus.
Choosing Calculus will make studying MME easier and might help you crack the Masters entrance test but you should have the determination to study maths on an intermediate level.

2. Is it compulsory to have maths in Class 12th to take admission in B.A. (Hons) Economics?

No, Non-maths students can also take admission in B.A. (Hons) Economics. There’s no such eligibility criteria.

3. Can we study other subjects while pursuing Economics (hons.) or we will study Economics only?

You will be offered a wide variety of subsidiary and CBCS subjects to choose from. It is done to ensure that your knowledge doesn’t remain confined to Economics only.

B.Com (Hons)

1. When will be the admit card for B.Com released?

Generally, the admit cards are released 10 days prior to the scheduled exam date.

2. What is the eligibility criteria to get admission in B.Com?

The eligibility criteria to get admission is the same as BBA and B.A.(Hons) Economics that is 50% marks in best five subjects in class 12th and qualify the entrance exam.

3. What Books should I prefer for preparing for B.Com?

There are many books available which one can use to prepare for the entrance test like Arihant Publication’s book, Shafiqur Rehman’s book.

BBA

1. What’s the criteria to get admission in BBA JMI?

To be eligible, the candidate has to secure at least 50% marks in the best 5 subjects of class 12th and must clear the entrance exam.

2. Can someone from a non-commerce background take admission in BBA JMI?

Yes, you can take admission in BBA irrespective of your stream, as long as you fulfill the eligibility criteria.

3. How to apply for BBA JMI?

There are many books available which one can use to prepare for the entrance test like Arihant Publication’s book, Shafiqur Rehman’s book.

4. When will admit cards be issued?
